In the heart of Knightsbridge, overlooking Hyde Park, the Mandarin Oriental has long been one of London’s great settings for a wedding.

I’ve photographed many London weddings over the years, but the Mandarin Oriental has a particular character of its own — grand without feeling impersonal, with the Ballroom, terrace and Hyde Park providing a wonderful variety of settings throughout the day.

One of the things I love about photographing weddings in London is the contrast. You can have all the scale and glamour of a major international celebration while still finding those quieter, more intimate moments between the couple, their families and friends. For me, those photographs are every bit as important as the spectacular ones.

Having photographed more than 300 weddings in London, throughout the UK and internationally, it’s always a pleasure to work at one of the capital’s landmark hotels.
