Singapore is one of those places that gives a photographer an extraordinary amount to work with — a combination of modern architecture, tropical colour, incredible light and the energy of one of Asia’s great cities.

This was also a particularly memorable celebration, bringing together prominent figures from Singapore’s business, political and social worlds alongside family and friends from around the world. At weddings of this nature, discretion is as important as knowing when and where to find the photograph — something that comes naturally to me after many years of working at private and high-profile events.

However far from London I travel, the things I’m looking for remain much the same: the people, the atmosphere, the unexpected moments and a sense of the place in which the wedding is happening.

I’ve been fortunate to photograph weddings around the world during the past 17 years, from Europe and the United States to Australia and Asia. Every destination brings something different, and Singapore certainly didn’t disappoint.
